Bartlett J. McCartin III

Bartlett J. McCartin III is a principal and managing partner at National Investment Services. He also serves on the board of directors and is a member of the management committee. An owner of the firm, Bart has been with the company since 2009. He is actively involved in marketing the firm’s capabilities to institutional investors. Bart’s primary focus is on leading the Taft-Hartley practice area.
Prior to joining NIS, Bart served as the first executive vice president of Aker, based in Oslo, Norway. He was responsible for a $2.1 billion construction and engineering group operating in the US, Canada, South America and EU. He led the acquisition integration of his previously held, multi-generational, family-owned business purchased by Aker at the end of 2005. Before joining Aker, Bart was the president and chief executive officer of The McCartin Group/McCartin Industrial Services Group, where he led the 96-year-old, third-generation industrial construction and engineering companies. The company had 6,000 employees with six offices throughout the United States serving the oil and gas, power, steel, food, aerospace and heavy manufacturing industries.
Bart holds a B.S. in business administration and public relations from Pepperdine University, and a degree from the London School of Economics. Bart serves as the president of the corporate board of directors for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago. He is a 25-year, third generation member of UA Local 597 in Chicago, and has served as a reserve member of the Chicago Fire Department for the last 22 years.
