On Monday, January 30, Mark Anderson, will be speaking at the Florida Public Pension Trustees Association (FPPTA) Trustee School in Orlando, Florida. He will be participating on the fixed income panel for the continuing education track. This panel will present a broad view of fixed income results in 2016 and general thoughts on the fixed income market environment in 2017.
The panel will delve into the considerations for boards as they consider the continued needs of their participants in the face of rising interest rate volatility, central bank policy impact on fixed income, current liquidity in fixed income and how its changes over the years, impact of rising rates on the housing market, where the greatest risks in fixed income may reside, and what role should fixed income play in portfolios in the current low rate environment.
