John P. Fremgen
Principal, Managing Partner
John P. Fremgen is a principal and managing partner at National Investment Services. He also serves on the board of directors and as a member of the management committee. An owner of the firm, John has been with the company since 2013. He is actively involved in marketing the firm’s capabilities to institutional investors. John’s primary focus is on leading the firm’s public pension fund practice area.
Prior to joining NIS, John was a supervisory special agent in charge with the Drug Enforcement Administration where he was responsible for the overall management of 25 special agents and task force officers in the Chicagoland area. This included investigation and intelligence oversight, year-to-year field management planning, budgeting, and personnel management and evaluations. Prior to the DEA, he was a police officer in the Western Springs Police Department.
John holds a B.S. in political science, cum laude, from Eastern Illinois University. John served in the United States Marine Corps from 1989-1993.
